Emergency First Aid for Appointed Persons
To train and certificate personnel in the basic knowledge and skills to take charge of an incident and to provide emergency first aid in the absence of a fully qualified first aider.
Course Contents:
- Aims and principles of first aid
- Action to be taken at the scene of an accident
- Basic life support
- Management of an unconscious casualty
- Control of wounds and bleeding
- Recognition of shock
- Angina and heart attack
Entry Requirements:
For those individuals who are responsible for first aid in the absence of a fully qualified person.
