Working at Height

The Work at Height Regulations 2005 addresses issues relating to inspection, planning and training. The regulations apply to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury. The regulation identifies Duty-holders to ensure:

All work is properly planned and organised; risks from work at height are assessed and appropriate work equipment is selected and used; those involved in work at height are competent to carry out the work; risks from fragile surfaces are properly controlled; equipment for work at height is properly inspected and maintained.

The object of this course is to provide a level of competence for each delegate, promoting an understanding of legal obligations, an appreciation of risk with working at height and the ability to plan the works to reduce the risk associated with working at height.

The course is suited to both managers and operatives and is structured to provoke thought and discussion.

Please remember that “working at height” is now any height “where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury”.
