Retained Advisor

The Health and Safety at Work etc. regulations 1974 requires that all employers have access to one or more ‘competent persons’ to assist them in complying with health and safety regulations relevant to their business.

 Most companies cannot justify the expense of hiring a full time safety advisor and may not have employees with the necessary skills, qualifications and experience to undertake the role and act as their competent person.

 SQE’s Retained Advisor Service has been developed in order to enable companies with the requirement for a competent person to fulfil that role without having the in house resource. By taking advantage of our Retained Adviser Service, your company will be allocated an experienced health and safety advisor to support and assist you in achieving compliance and maintaining a safe working environment.



 Depending on your requirements, and the systems you already have in place, we are able to offer fully scalable solutions from telephone and email support to regularly being on site with you and fully integrating into your business.
